‘Dansa’ is the latest collaborative release from Lawrence Hart and Casually Here, a three-track EP which experiments with vast and emotive soundscapes across its thirteen minute runtime. A feat of skilfully crafted electronica, which not only demands attention but holds it, ‘Dansa’ is a definitive collection of songs which showcases the talent of both creators.
Opening with the eponymous track ‘Dansa’, the EP starts as it means to go on – delicately, gently, building into a cacophonous delight of upbeat instrumentation. ‘La Mode’ is certainly the most energetic feature on the EP, proving that neither musician is afraid to have fun with their artistry. This joint release is not the first time Lawrence Hart and Casually Here have come together to create something special, having previously released a series of singles in 2018 and 2019.
‘Dansa’ draws to a close with a mellow, almost cinematic track, aptly titled ‘Resolve’. It is short but sweet, closing a spectacular EP on a calm and dulcet note. We’re excited to see what else the duo have in store this year, both together and as separate entities.
