International electro-pop band DOMI return with new single ‘Wouldn’t That Be Nice’

Following on from the success of their debut single ‘Let Me Follow’ in February, UK-based DOMI are back with their newest release ‘Wouldn’t That Be Nice’ to kick off the summer.

Initially influenced by Scandi pop, the band came together three years ago while studying at Leeds College of Music. Drawing influences from jazz and electronica, the band have evolved to carve their own niche of electro pop.

Composed in Prague before their first international gig last September, this song explores the frustrations of understanding someone hiding behind a mask. Dreamy vocals, delicate guitar notes and striking synth sounds with a touch of grit intensify the raw emotion building up to the first punchy “Hey” of the chorus. With a refined sound crafted by producer Frankie Harper, the arrangement is both tentative and confident providing DOMI with their distinct modern sound.

Dominika Hasek, lead vocalist of DOMI, says: “It’s a song that’s raw and vulnerable with a dark edge, trying to catch someone’s attention for them to snap out of it and get real. The first time we all yelled ‘Hey’, it just felt perfect for the song’s attitude.”

Having recently played their first headline show alongside Tamzene and Fossa at The Wardrobe in Leeds, DOMI have an exciting future ahead with plans for more gigs and new music.
