In the five years that Charlotte de Witte has been releasing music, the Belgian DJ has made a name for herself as a fierce and uncompromising creator of intense techno. With credentials that include a Boiler Room set, an Essential Mix debut on BBC Radio 1, and the unwavering support of Resident Advisor, Mixmag, and XLR8R, de Witte’s future sure is bright. Her first release of 2020 is an exceptional four track EP demonstrating flair and versatility.
Bristol-based producer Matt Preston, aka Phaeleh, is no stranger to the world of diverse and atmospheric electronica. Best known for his ambient sound, an amalgamation of vintage synthesiser and cinematic melody, Phaeleh has never been afraid to step out of his comfort zone, experimenting with beat-driven production on previous releases. Latest track ‘Halo’ is an example of his traditional sound. Led by gentle string, it’s a serene and lightweight construction of well-rounded electronica.
ford. is the moniker of Luc Bradford, a France born artist whose experimental sound has since earned him a well-deserved spot within ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. Fusing hip hop, atmospheric instrumentation and minimalist electronic production, ford.’s style is a testament to his eclectic upbringing spanning Europe and Asia. This recent collaboration with labelmates Sonn and Hanz showcases ford.’s unique and reflective sound.
Brothers Mark and Rob Brandon produce pockets of ambient goodness featuring organic composition, piano instrumentation and infusion of bass culture. The duo first came onto the scene in 2018 before taking their sound to the live stage in 2019. Since their debut, Model Man have released a handful of singles and two extended plays, the latest being a chilled-out collection perfect for a summer soundtrack.
There’s no doubt that duo Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson, otherwise known as Bicep, are two of the most trusted curators in the electronic music industry as of late. Following a two year break, Bicep wowed listeners with their impeccable and uncontested sound when their 2017 debut self-titled LP rose to the top of the UK charts, placing the duo firmly in the electronic spotlight. With over one million monthly Spotify listeners, a decade of well-received releases, and live performances on some of the world’s most revered stages under their belt, Bicep have a certain reputation nailed down. Their latest track ‘Atlas’ is a continuation of this legacy, and we hope a sign of more new music in the near future!
