Zola Blood announce the release of new EP with titular track ‘Two Hearts’

East London quartet Zola Blood have recently unveiled the title track to their upcoming EP, which is set for release in May via Akira Records. ‘Two Hearts’ is an atmospheric blend of upbeat rhythm and wistful melody, formulating a brilliant concoction of dense electronica.

Three years on from the success of their debut album, Zola Blood are ready to share with the world a new body of songs which they have been quietly working on since 2017. Having amassed critical acclaim, a bunch of adoring fans, and over 50 million streams, there’s a certain anticipation for the output of new music.

‘Two Hearts’ teases a dynamic and hard-hitting sound, demonstrating a maturation of the band during their busy hiatus. There is a palpable emotional driving force behind the lyrics. Zola Blood’s vocalist Matt West delivers a melancholic performance, lamenting of a time when “two hearts come apart with no explaining”.
